I tell stories about my native home county of Lincolnshire. I have lived in the same cottage all his life except for three years when I was away at college. Brought up on a farm, I understand the joys and sorrows of Lincolnshire rural life.
Stories For All… Whether eight or eighty years old, everybody enjoys a story…
I am available to tell stories in

Festivals,

Women’s Institutes,
Homes for the Elderly,
hand-fasting, weddings an funerals.
I work in schools for half or full days. I also lead seminars in Schools related to themes and subjects being studied. Stimulation of the imagination and development of concentration/attention are important skills to develop. Also, I go into local schools to lead assemblies. These presentations aim to promote good behaviour and caring for people.
I have a DBS check certificate.
In addition, I am able to take Church Services, Baptismal Services, Funerals and Cremations.

Live storytelling although an ancient art form. Today is seeing a revival. When everyone is so conditioned to fiction via television there is a longing for the personal contact.
My father, Geoff, was a storyteller but did not know it! In other words, Geoff just told us about the experiences of himself, family and friends.
Also I tell a story of Jabez, my great-grandfather, who went courting one winter’s night in South Ormsby. I still have a recording of Geoff telling the story. I have a number of Lincolnshire stories including the “Wormsgay Dragon,” “Grandfather’s Windsor Chair” and “Jack went to Horncastle Fair.”
In my presentations, I relate Traditional stories include “The Frog that went to a Party in the Sky”, “The Blind man and the Hunter”, “The King of the Birds,” and “George and the Dragon.” Also “The Mill and the Two Brothers,” “The Snake,” “Sir Gawain and the Lady,” along with “The Man with no Luck,” “The Monkey and Papa God,” and “The Triumphal Arch”;
My children’s stories include “Annie, the Clever Baker,” “Noisey and the Hens” and “Silly Jack”.
Bible stories are told, for instance, “The King’s Golden Statue”, “The Farmer,” “Jonah & the Big Fish” and “Creation.”
I am is available to lead assemblies at local Schools.
Tennyson Dialect poems include; “Owd Roa,” “The Northern Farmer,” and “The Churchwarden and the Curate.”
In the Museum of Rural Life (the Hackett Barn Museum) my grandfather’s boot-making workshop can be seen. The museum is in the Alford Manor House Grounds.
